When we talk about the author you aren’t reading but should, look no further than Parker Love. They have published two books, and we can just wait excitedly for many more. Their first came out last year, The Lady’s Price. This book was a bit of a dystopian historical romance. This year they shifted to Wild West Romances. The fact that their book takes place in a sister town to mine doesn’t make me biased, it lets you know how much I love and respect them as an author.

When Magnolia Blossom asked me to recommend other romance authors who may be interested in writing LGBTQ+, happily ever after romances, Parker Love was hands down the first author that came to mind. I approached them and the next thing I knew I was writing with someone I admired.

Mail Order Bride Mix-Up is a plucky adventure of two sisters who travel halfway across America in the late 1850s to answer an ad to get one of them a husband. They quickly learn nothing, and I mean NOTHING is as they expected.

Check out the books below with their blurbs and spend a cozy afternoon reading their books with fade to black romance.

Thanks for joining me!

The Lady’s Price – Parker Love

All Tilda’s hopes were shattered that dreadful night a young lord stole her innocence. Securing a marriage and escaping her brother’s household was now hopeless. Against all odds, her brother contracts an advantageous marriage for her, to Lord Driet. But overcoming her fear and shame to pursue a life of her own seems an impossible dream.

Idan Brigane was a lowly soldier. For his role in the Imperial War, the Emperor grants him lands and a title, making him Lord Driet. Disfigured in the war, he knew no woman could ever desire him, so he used his wealth and title to buy himself a bride. But Idan is hiding a deadly secret, one that could endanger his life, and the life of his new wife.

When someone poisons a member of his staff, and Tilda is wounded in an attack, Idan starts to wonder if his secret may be out. Can he figure out who the enemy is before it’s too late?

Mail Order Bride Mix-Up

After their parents passed away, Mór stepped up to care for her immature younger sister, Celia. Spending her days in a factory and her evenings cooking and cleaning, she doesn’t have time to worry about anything but survival. When Celia finds a flier for a husband on the other side of the country, she begs Mór to move to Valley Springs with her so she can marry a virtual stranger. Seizing what may be her only chance to leave the overcrowded streets of New York, Mór agrees. But upon arriving at the small, one street town, it’s clear to Mór, if not Celia, that Milton wasn’t expecting them.

Knowing his life was a lie, Milton escaped his husband and reinvented himself in Valley Springs. He never expected his nosey neighbors to want more for him, and order him a wife from New York. After meeting the woman they found, he’s not sure what is worse, their interference, or Celia herself. Despite Celia not being his type of woman, her sister Mór just might be. But he can’t get married without revealing his biggest secret. Will she still want him after she knows the truth?
